I was totally looking forward to tonight when I’ve finished them all, and the feeling of relief etc, but after finishing the exam this morning I was just really depressed cos I thought I’d failed. I think maybe I’m just gonna be really worried until the results actually come out. Well no, in reality I’m sure I’ll be able to forget. I’m just in a rather pessimistic mood right now.

Three more hours to kill. I’ve already spent too much time idly dawdling around Uni, looking around for things to do as if it’s my first time here. Turns out there is nothing to do, I took a shit, looked around the Library, found that the only place with something I wanted to read was the only place with nowhere to sit. Came back here. Typed.

So yeah this next exam is Java…it might be ok but I have literally no idea what it’s gonna be like. I’m pretty sure it’s written, not at a computer, but it’s about a bloody programming language which is full of <>s and ({) and “if{sig.a <= 5} then piss” etc. You can’t write it with a pen and paper basically. SILLY. Fortunately my mummy’s picking me up after so no train messing; woo.

Oh yeah and another thing: On this day, my final day of exams, when I had to get on a train at 7am, and cope with two exams of three hours each, probably the shittest day I’ll have all year…I forgot to take my prozac.

Not sure what I’ve done all week anyway. I deleted my myspace account cos it was pissing me off, I’m sure that website is gonna be the downfall of our generation. It’s just full of easy 15 year old girls who take pictures from above themselves, after spending an hour of making their hair look as emo as possible, and people get like 3,000 friends on their list from america and japan or whatever and are like OHH I’M SO POPULAR! I think the defining moment was when I was showing Deary how it works, and looking through my friends list I realised there are loads of people on there who i’ve never spoken to, never will speak to, in fact even people that I see around but don’t bother talking to me!? So why put me on your myspace list. SILLY. I urge you to delete yours to, there’s only one way to make real friends…and that’s the musicandstuff forum! Pah.

I’ve been fairly engrossed in this anime series called Chobits, it’s about the future where everyone has robots basically…it was a bit slow to get started but it’s becoming clear that this guy has a “special” one with some independent thought/emotions etc, and they’re blatantly falling in love… confusing!

I didn’t wake up till like 12 today, just finished breakfast then Sam came round, and now he’s gone and i’m sat on here. It’s 2pm and I haven’t even started the day yet! Fucks sake. More coffee. Safe.

Hmm, I think I’ve just realised I could do with having categories on here (something which blogger doesn’t do ). Cos I have like “nerdy” and “personal” lol. Anyway that was “personal”, here’s “nerdy”:

Azureus just released version 2.3, which includes support for trackerless torrents, I can’t say I’m exactly sure how this works (you can’t search for things…and you still need tracker sites to find torrents, but apparently torrents will continue to work when the tracker goes offline…but you still need the tracker in the first place! Confusing? Oh yes). But it kicks ass anyway, you can get a new view of the “swarm” that shows all the computers you’re connected to and where all the data is going…nice.

Oh yeah and I’ve been rinsing Red Alert 2! Such a cool game. For some reason I still think of it as “new”, but I realised it came out in 2000…which was 5 years ago…

Well this is fucking appalling. I know there’s plenty of evil going on all round the world these days, but this kind of thing always stands out to me and makes me feel sick. I can’t believe that in the 21st century women are being stoned to death, it’s so draconian and biblical, and why weren’t they both given the same punishment? The man who was charged with adultery was whipped 100 times and set free, this shows how sexist and insensitive this culture is. It’s also an example of somewhere where George Bush thought he’d install his own style of democracy, but hasn’t bothered sorting out basic human rights issues like that. My current main plan of action is giving money to Amnesty International, I hope you think about doing it too.

On a brighter note I did my presentation this morning and it went fine! Two of the students didn’t turn up so I just had to do it to 2 people in the end, not too scary. And then I went to the lecture hall at 12.30 all ready for 3 hours of learning, only to find nobody there, no students, no lecturers. Crazy! But at least I got to come home early, and sit here wasting hours away…
